Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do once my strength has returned and I am healed?
Once your treatment has successfully ended, we suggest celebrating. Celebrate life- do something that will make you proud. If you would like to do this in Peru, we suggest a guided trek through the mountains, visiting undistubed Incan ruins and friendly mountain villages. Whereas the jungle is saturated with life and rejuvenating, the mountains are open and celebratorious of the heavens.
If plant medicines are effective, why do not more people use them?
Many people do use them! There are many plant medicine practitioners around the world. Some take the name of naturopathic doctors, others take the name of herbalists, and still others of medicine men. Regardless, they all seek to use plant medicine to cure illnesses. Otherwise, common medical doctors are simply not trained in the use of plants. Their healing methods concentrate on alopathic means using pharmaceuticals.
How long will my treatment be?
The amount of time needed to cure you depends on the severity of your condition. The matter is very subjective. Nonetheless, most chronic eczema treatments, for example, are complete in 4 weeks. Serious cases of cancer, in contrast, can take anywhere from 3 to 12 months for complete healing. This will be addressed quickly when you arrive, as healer Alfredo Cairuna begins a series of in depth diagnostics which will help specify your needed duration of treatment.
Is it safe in Peru?
As in any Latin American country, care must be taken, late-night walks should be avoided, and wallets should be kept safe. However, if you stay focused on why you are there, you will find a very warm culture ready to help you along your way.
Once my illness is healed, will it come back?
Plant medicines do a permanent job, in the vast majority of cases. This is particularly the case for those that maintain a vibrantly healthy diet, exercise, practice cleansing, and maintain regular relaxation techniques. Once the body is clean, it is best to keep it that way to stay healthy.
